I believe we all have the skills and ability to achieve what we want from life and business. But we become sidetracked by our environment, by the people around us, and settle for less. Whether intentionally or not, we tend to be creatures of habit, our thinking follows the same channels, we resist change and avoid facing up to difficult problems.

But with help from a skilled coach/mentor that underlying potential can be released, nurtured and grown. I work with people to help them think through their goals and how to achieve them. Through careful listening, challenging and questioning I encourage them to widen and deepen their thinking, to reflect, to be creative and to gain insight. Drawing on my business and life experience I guide, encourage and support my clients to focus, work out what needs to be done and to follow up on actions.

All my working life has involved managing people in business. I am an experienced senior business manager having worked in the public, private and voluntary sector, and guided organisations through major change programmes. In my last role I was leading a business building and supplying HR IT systems and managing a staff of up to 100 people; I have also run small business ventures so understand the challenges of the business owner trying to run a business day to day yet needing to think about all the other aspects of running their business such as financial management, administrative systems, marketing, managing their people.

Based in South Cheshire, I am a Chartered Institute of Personnel (CIPD) qualified Coach and Mentor and adhere to the institute’s Code of Conduct and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council Code of Ethics.
